Salim Karami

Updated: May 27, 2020

A self-taught artist, Salim Karami began drawing at the age of 60. Several galleries are interested in his creation and he manages to exhibit in major galleries like Ou and Homa in Tehran.

The leitmotif of this raw artist is the tree, symbol of life and link between the visible and invisible world. His creations, always accompanied by bright colors, appeal to the art of the carpet through the use of certain colors such as carmine red, navy blue, and ivory white.
